Investigations

The Lenoir City Police Department has two investigators.  The investigated crimes range from arson to simple assault, as well as various drug charges, forgery and embezzlement.  Our investigators are constantly seeking leads, following-up with witnesses, and relying on forensic evidence which is evaluated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.  For the period beginning January 1, 2006 - December 31, 2007, the Lenoir City Police Department had 2 investigators assigned to handle approximately 1,195 cases.  The department’s clearance rate was 33.64%.

There are many valuable resources which our detectives utilize when working on a case but the citizens of Lenoir City will almost always be the most valuable resource to our investigators.  If you believe you have information pertaining to an active case or suspect criminal activity, please call 865-986-2005 or 865-986-9081.
