Movies in the Park

Our Movies in the Park series offers a free, outdoor movie night each month beginning in April 2013 and running through September 2013. This season's movie themes include family, children, and comedies. Pack some snacks, grab a blanket or chair, and come watch a movie with us! All movie ratings are posted with the title. Movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:00 P.M.).

Rockin' the Docks (Memorial Day Celebration)

Rockin' the Docks will again bring live music and fireworks to the Lenoir City Park and Cove area. Live music will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will continue until the Fireworks Show at 10:00 P.M.
Food vendors will be providing a wide variety of your favorites, so there is no need to bring any food or drinks with you. The children's play area will also be back for your kids to enjoy!

School's Out Pool Bash

Come to the pool and celebrate the end of another school year at our School's Out Pool Bash where there will be music, games, and lots of pool time! Concessions will be available for sale.

Lenoir City Arts & Crafts Festival

Come out and enjoy the Arts & Crafts Festival at the Lenoir City Park! Many talented artists, jewelry crafters, and other vendors will be showcased at this wonderful event!

When: Saturday, June 1, 2013, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Sunday, June 2, 2013, 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Farmer's Market

Farmers will be set up daily beginning June 8th and running through the month of August. The Market area is located at the 400 block of East Broadway in downtown Lenoir City. Come by and see these folks to get your fresh produce!

Festival of Friends

The festival is designed to provide public awareness of the disabled communities in the area as well as a fun opportunity to get the family out for festive activities. Activities include: music, food, games, and vendors.
The Patricia Neal Innovative Recreation Cooperative will host a water ski venue for the day. Festival of Friends is hosted by the Lenoir City Pilot Club and the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation. Other sponsors include local businesses and community service organizations of Lenoir City, and the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center, Ingles, and Wamplers.

Fourth of July Parade

This year's parade will be held on Thursday, July 4th. We will be kicking off the parade with our annual Firecracker Run. This is a half-mile fun run for children ages 5-12. The run is free, and the first 100 children receive a free event t-shirt. Every runner receives a participation award. Top prizes will be given to the first place boy and girl from each division. Participants for the parade or race can register by calling the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation Department at 865-986-1223.

Rockin' the Docks (July 4th Celebration)

Rockin' the Docks will again bring live music to the Lenoir City Park and Cove area. Live music will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will continue until the Fireworks Show at 10:00 P.M. Cool Down in Downtown

"Cool Down in Downtown" is a homemade ice cream contest that will be held in downtown Lenoir City. Local businesses, church groups, schools, civic groups, or anyone in the general public are welcome to enter a team(s). Teams must provide their own ice cream, tables, chairs, tent (optional), and decorations/props to set up their booth. Parks and Recreation will provide serving spoons, cups, napkins, and voting ballots. The winner will be voted on by the public and will receive the coveted "silver scoop!" This is a wonderful way to get involved in the community and do fun PR for your organization.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Lenoir City Parks and Recreation and the City of Lenoir City are dedicated to providing support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Our mission is to help the families in Lenoir City affected by this disease by spending time in the community, throughout October, raising money and awareness at many different events. Downtown Street Festival

Lenoir City Parks and Recreation will partner once again with the Lenoir City Lions Club for a street festival that includes a classic car show, live music, arts and crafts and food vendors. It will take place in the beautiful Historic Downtown Lenoir City area.
In conjunction with the festival, we will be featuring our 3rd Annual "Chalk Walk" Art Contest on the sidewalks at Roane State Community College. This has become a wonderful addition to our festival with amazing artists of all ages competing for the top prize!

Halloween Festival

We invite you to experience the thrills and chills of Lenoir City Park. If you dare...enter our park and find your way through creepy passages and paths on the banks of the lake, winding through trees and darkness for our Halloween event, "All Hallows Evening." The air will be filled with spine tingling creatures and people that will curdle the blood of even the bravest of souls. Join us on this trails of fears in a classic, haunted adventure where terrifying fun awaits your arrival. You can also brave the ghosts of the park with our collection of frightening tales served up by the water's edge from master storytellers and local ghost hunters.
If you have little ones that are less prepared for a haunted walk, please join us on the opposite side of the park for our "Not-So-Scary-Area," where there will be plenty of age appropriate fun!

Christmas Parade

Kick off the holiday season with the Lenoir City Christmas Parade! Each year, thousands of families come together on a magical December night to watch the excitement of a parade and catch the first glimpses of Santa as the holiday season begins. Historic Downtown Lenoir City provides beautiful lights and sounds that will please parade fans everywhere! The 2013 parade will be "A Tender Tennessee Christmas." Get your float and parade entry ideas ready and help us bring the magic of Christmas to Broadway!

4th Annual Storefront Display Contest

In conjunction with the Christmas Parade, we will be holding our annual storefront display contest to celebrate the holidays! The theme for the 2013 parade is "A Tender Tennessee Christmas." All windows MUST follow the Tennessee theme to compete for monetary prizes. Be creative and use your imagination!
Evening with Santa

Lenoir City Parks and Recreation would like to invite children and families to attend an evening with Santa! This event includes one-on-one time with Santa, light refreshments, a gift, a big screen movie, crafts, games, and a keepsake photo of your child with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
